There is nothing better than a summer dinner. Or a summer lunch. Or any kind of summer party. I love to host groups of friends and family for long weekends to mark birthdays, anniversaries or any kind of milestone in their lives. The best kinds of parties are a mix of casual with a little flair — bunches of small fresh flowers from my garden for every table, several kinds of fruit and vegetable salads and delicious desserts and free-flowing conversation. I love it when impromptu King and Queen of the Court tennis matches end in all the children and cousins running around the pool. It reminds me of the incredible summer barbecues my parents Buddy and Reva hosted nearly every weekend in Valley Forge when I was growing up.
